If you will be using Sierra Chart with your Interactive Brokers account, you definitely need Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation open.

Yes, above is correct.... unless you run the IB Gateway. If you run the Gateway as the interface to IB, you don't need big old clunky TWS running.
