Hello, Must be missing something, hopefully quite simple:

Hello,

Is there a way in which the target quantity can be lower than the order quantity specified in a spreadsheet referencing the automated trading system?

Each time it has been tested, and the target quantity changed to 1, it auto resets back to a quantity of whatever amount is specified in the spreadsheet for order quantity there to do a blanket all or nothing trade when target is reached.

The goal being to have 3 contracts purchased, with a target of 2 ticks above purchase contract amount to sell off 1 contract, but still holding 2 remaining contract. Obviously adjustable so there could be multiple targets: 3 contracts ordered, 1 target 2 ticks above, 1 target 3 ticks above, etc.

Thank you.

Actually, we did not need to test this. Now that we read what you wrote, this does make sense:

Each time it has been tested, and the target quantity changed to 1, it auto resets back to a quantity of whatever amount is specified in the spreadsheet for order quantity there to do a blanket all or nothing trade when target is reached.

Why not set up 3 targets from the very beginning?
