When I attempt to add a study collection to a chart in which the menu has been hidden by unchecking Chart>Show Menu, I receive one of the following messages:

Error opening study collection file: C:\SierraChart\Data\.StdyCollct. Windows error code 2: The system cannot find the file specified. | 2015-11-10 11:56:16 *

-or-

Caught an unhandled exception in c_Chart::WindowProc. Message: 32769, wParam: 56005, lParam: 0 | 2015-11-10 12:21:52 *

The following steps will replicate the error:

-create a new intraday chart using File>Find Symbol
-add a stock SC study to it (or any study, for that matter)
-save the indicator as a study collection
-open a second intraday chart and uncheck the 'Show Menu' option
-attempt to add the study collection through the 'analysis' menu of the main SC control panel

If you then unhide the Menu of the chart and attempt to add the study collection through its 'Analysis' menu, it works fine.

BTW, I am using SC version 1323.

We cannot duplicate this problem. Restart Sierra Chart and tell us if you are still able to duplicate the problem.

Are any of these charts detached?

Although we cannot duplicate the problem, we did a code review in the relevant area of the code and we added some safety checks.

So we think the problem will be solved in the next release. But we are not sure why it is happening to begin with.

However, the likely result is that applying the Study Collection using the steps you gave is not going to result in any Study Collection being applied.

Yes, I can still duplicate the problem after restarting SC, and all the charts in question are detached.
