Currently I am backtesting four tpo charts and 11 tick charts in only one open chartbook of one instance of sc, but I am wondering why the charts fail to update in sync? None of them run in sync even if they are of the same type. Just to add: my computer is equipped with an SSD 540/560 read/write and some of the higher middle end computer components.

Describe precisely the steps that you followed to do this back testing. And how far out of synchronization timewise are they? What are the Session Times of the charts being replayed? steps: all charts are set for a certain amount of days to be loaded. I then moved my lowest tick chart to the point I want to start back testing. I click the replay with standard setting and for all charts. sync: sometimes just a tick, but sometimes over 10 pts. session time: all tick charts and two of the tpo charts have the same setting. the remaining two tpo charts are offset, but to the half hour. note: i understand there could be a difference between time and tick based data reading, but even the same based charts are not in sync. |

Here is the relevant documentation: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ReplayChart.html#SkippingData It says: When you have enabled For All Charts in Chartbook and you have selected Accurate Trading System Back Test Mode for the Replay Mode, then in this case there is a multiple chart synchronized replay being performed. The Skip Empty Periods option does not apply in the case. In this case the charts are always kept synchronized regardless of the Skip Empty Periods setting.
To make sure the charts remain synchronized, you also need to use the same Session Times. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
