Hi, My account with TD Waterhouse in Canada, the same group with TD Ameritrade in the US and both of them are using Thinkorswim as their trading platform. I would like to know how to connect Sierra Chart to the Thinkorswim software that used by TD Waterhouse. Thanks. |

It didn't work. Does SC connect directly to TD Ameritrade server? Or connect to the Thinkorswim platform on my computer? Use the later way is okay for me (the same way as SC to IB TWS). My account is at the TD Waterhouse (TD Ameritrade group), it also use Thinkorswim platform. Might be both of them use different server. The only method Sierra Chart supports to connect to TD Ameritrade is direct to the TD Ameritrade server. The TD Ameritrade server indicated either your Username or Password are not set correctly. TD Waterhouse customers are not allowed to use 3rd party software to connect to their server. Different policy than TD Ameritrade. Do you have delayed intraday market data (update automatically every minute) for US stocks to do paper trading with Sierra Chart? If you don't have, please suggest me the cheapest one that compatible to SC and even delayed data is also okay, only for paper trading. Thanks |

We can provide historical delayed US stock data which can be updated every 30 minutes. But this will require you reconnect to the data feed at that interval. But not every minute. We cannot allow that fast of an update frequency. We can make it automatic but that is not yet developed. But if we make it automatic, it will not update more often than an hour. You can also use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.
