I have poured over the "Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed" webpage for hours, particularly sections "What Is Included" and "Notes", to understand under what conditions the tick-by-tick data is delayed/not delayed and streaming/not streaming. There are apparently six conditions for non-CME data, depending on whether a supported Trading Service or the SC Exchange Data Service is used, whether the supported Trading Service is connected or not connected, and whether the exchange fee has been paid or not paid. There are another six conditions for CME Group Exchanges - similar with a couple of exceptions, the main one being that the SC Exchange Data Service isn't viable due to the exorbitantly high exchange fees. Please find attached a spreadsheet showing the various conditions and my best determination of whether the data is delayed and whether it is streaming. There are six cells with question marks indicating I could not determine whether the data was streaming or not. Please answer the questions. In addition, please correct any other misunderstandings. Assumptions for the analysis: - A funded futures trading account. - A supported Trading Service. - The Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed is activated. - Data/Trade Service Settings ยป Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is checked. When an intraday chart is opened, what type of data is received? Delayed/not delayed? Streaming/not streaming? Thank you. |

For Intraday and Historical charts, the data is going to be real-time, not delayed, and streaming. This is just a general answer, and assumes all of the conditions are met in order for this to be true. So we are expressing the maximum capabilities. See the attachment. Thank you for filling in the matrix. It answers all my questions except one. The "Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed" webpage, Notes says: "When you are not connected to your trading account, and you open a chart, historical data will be downloaded for the symbol into the chart with a 10-15 minute delay unless you pay an exchange fee for the exchange the symbol is on, in which case there will be no delay. The only exception is CME data which will still have a 10 to 15 minute delay if you do not pay the higher CME exchange fees." This seems to say IF you have a funded futures trading account AND a supported Trading Service is set in Data/Trade Service Settings, AND you are not connected, AND you open an intraday chart for a CME exchange symbol, AND you have paid the lower $3.25 fee, THEN you will still receive 10-miinute delayed data UNLESS you pay the higher $94.50 fee. The matrix you updated has the delay entered as "None" in the cell CME Group Exchanges >> Supported Trading Service >> Not Connected >> Exchange Fee Paid >> Delay. The assumption for this cell was that the higher fee was not paid (NOTES: [2]). Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-11-05 01:56:45

This is incorrect and we made a mistake with that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
