Hi, I have recently purchased the package 3 subscription and used it to download intraday historical data for future indices. I would like to get real time streaming data and read the "Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed" section. I am still confused and perhaps i am missing something here... 1. When getting a real time data, all i can see is the future graph gets updated in real time ? specifically I have a TD account in which i get it. The data reliability is the key difference ? 2. I would like to get the raw real time data in some sort of API that i can consume programatically and manipulate. Is there such an option/format/service ? Thanks, R. |

1. Yes, you will receive real-time data with the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed for futures. If you have a TD Ameritrade account, you can use that to satisfy the CME requirement for trading account to get the lower-priced exchange fees. Follow the instructions here: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed 2. You can use the DTC Server: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok. I have a few follow up questions: 1. Establishing a TCP\IP connection - The SierraChart process is functioning as a DTC protocol server ? whenever i want to receive data or make a trade from my client i need the SierraChart.exe to be up and running and making the request against it ? 2. Do you have an example for a client which demonstrates usage of LOGON_REQUEST and followed by market data listener ? (preferably c# :)) Thanks, Ran. |
