Can third-party charting and trading platforms like Ninja Trader and Market Delta be connected to the SC Data Service - I understand that they will need appropriate adapters but do such exist and who is responsible for chem

I appreciate that SC Data Service as claimed may offer market data with better quality BUT for traders like me who use more than one product (in my case SC, NT and until recently MD), market data service supporting only one product is a No Go

Those programs can only use the data feed if they support the DTC Protocol:

This is programming that those programs must do.

who knows my friend, is it "them" or you - the answer from an obviously tech guy like you who gets his guaranteed salary paid every month is "they must do it" for somebody a bit more business development minded (can be still a tech guy) the answer can be "since we are interested in the further business development of our Market Data Service" we will release adapters for NT, MD etc

This is not making any sense. We are not familiar with those programs, and those programs probably almost certainly have no well-designed open interface for this.

It is not something we would ever do. It is not in our interest to do this. Especially being that Sierra Chart provides a very well-designed open specification market data protocol that we are working to establish as an industry standard.

And when you look at situations like this that has happened:
The Story of IG Markets and Sierra Chart. Classic Breach of Contract

It would be 1,000,000,000,000 years before we would even consider writing these proposed adapters.

like I said, you are a techie guy receiving his moderate but regular salary at the end of each month - hence your answers sound naïve (and also demonstrate some attitude problems) and should have been forwarded to your manager

on the other hand you are using the word "probably" like sales guy / cawboy - those "other programs" my friend DO offer APIs for developing ADPATERS to any market datafeed protocol / service

Sleep peacefully my friend - your magnificent data service will enjoy "bombastic" market success

One additional note, you are talking to the management.

APIs for developing ADPATERS to any market datafeed protocol / service
We question that these are properly designed true protocol level interfaces which function like a true data and trading client would.

For additional understanding of why we would never engage with market data or trading APIs of other programs, refer to help topic 76:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails76.html

There is a reason why we insist on doing things a certain way and that is to ensure proper and reliable integration to data and trading services. This is absolutely essential to avoid problems for the users and for us.

The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed was meant for Sierra Chart use. It was not meant to be used by other programs but it certainly can be and that is perfectly fine with us if it is. However, we do not earn any money on it. Our costs that we pay to Barchart, the exchanges, our development and server expenses exceed what earn from it.
