Hi, I just want to make sure that if I enter a trade using using an "Attached order" (i.e. the default SimpleBracket with a 10T stoploss and 10T takeprofit), and have a connexion failure at home, my stoploss and takeprofit will still be executed ? What confuses me is that : http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CQGTrading.php "Server Managed Bracket Orders: No." What I want to know is if "yes, my attached orders are going to be executed even if I'm disconnected" or "no, my attached orders won't be executed if I'm offline" will do. Assuming that Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Use Server-Side OCO and Bracket Orders is enabled. I assume the Server Managed Bracket Orders is for things like trailing stops ? Cheers |

With CQG, only server-side OCO functionality is supported so the behavior of that is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html#OCOManagementServersideOnly So the answer to the question depends upon whether the parent order has filled yet. Trailing stops are always managed by Sierra Chart. So if you lose connectivity, the trailing stop will remain in its last adjusted position. I read your link but I still don't understand. 1) will the "childs" orders work if my connexion failure happens before the parent order is filled ? 2) will the "childs" orders work if my connexion failure happens after the parent order is filled ? |

1. No, definitely not. 2. Yes if the parent order is fully filled. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
