How can you show/draw a constant horizontal line and constant horizontal ray from custom spreadsheet study e.g. a constant line at price 1936 which doesn't vary with the current price and time

We would think this should be very obvious.

In one of the Sheet Formula Columns which is graphed on the chart you just use a value 1936 in the cell.

wow young man let me return the "obvious" comment with "it represents a shallow thinking" -putting a constant value in a cell is not necessarily obvious that it will result in a constant continuous line because of another factor called time .... because of the factor called time what is more obvious/logical to assume is that putting a constant value in a cell would result in a point (in time)

let me confirm my question and your response - putting a constant value in a formula cell would result in a line at moment T would result in a constant line stretching from T minus infinity to T plus infinity ?

Since we do not provide programming help, you can expect what might be considered "shallow thinking" from Sierra Chart support for programming questions. This is indirectly stated in our support policy:

putting a constant value in a formula cell would result in a line at moment T would result in a constant line stretching from T minus infinity to T plus infinity ?
A fixed value will draw a line from the last bar in the chart back by the Number of Rows Input setting for the Spreadsheet Study. However, refer to the documentation for this Input for further details about this.

If you want to limit it based on time, that requires a more advanced formula which would look at the time. The details of this are not within the scope of our support. Or you could simply reduce the Number of Rows Input:

https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetStudyInputs.html#NumberofRows

because of the factor called time what is more obvious/logical to assume is that putting a constant value in a cell would result in a point (in time)

Did you try this first? You will clearly see what it does.

NOTHING is obvious in Sierra, it is written from a programmers mentality, not a users viewpoint.
