Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I did some trades on simulation accounts today - please see the results in the picture attached.
For all future-trades, the profit/loss in points and cash are fine - for all option deals, the profit/loss in points is right but the cash amount seems to be completely wrong!
It seems as if the software does not know the "value" of one option point... is there anything I need to setup accordingly or is this a bug?

Could you please check?

Thank you & regards, Markus

You need to set up a symbol Pattern for the options in the Global Symbol Settings. This is explained here:

Thank you for the fast reply!
I tried to implement the Call future on the currend DAX-Option for example (please see the file attached), but it does not work. Is there anything wrong with the pattern?

The pattern is: C.US.DC?######* and the trade-log shows: C.US.DCU159750 - the last placeholder is a * on purpose as the price in the DAX can be 4 or 5 digits

Anything else I might oversee?
Thank you very much in advance!

Regards, Markus

The number of characters in the pattern must exactly match the symbol length.

So you may need multiple patterns.

This is the pattern you will need to use for the symbol given:
C.US.DC?######

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I entered the pattern as requested (please see the attachment "Symbol Settings.png") but the trade activity log results do not change (pls see screen shot "Trade Activity Log.png").
Is there anything else I could have missed?

Thanks a lot for your help!
Regards, Markus

UPDATE: I managed to make it work with two different patterns for CALS and two differen pattern for PUTs, BUT this raises an additional question:
The target prices for DAX options can have 4 or 5 digits:
e.g.: C.US.DCU159750 for a base price 9,750 and [Sim]C.US.DCU1511000 for a base price 11,000. Do I really need to enter two different symbols for the number of digits or is there a way making the pattern match both?

Thanks & regards, Markus

After changing the Global Symbol Settings you need to select Edit >> Refresh Log on the Trade Activity Log menu for the changes to go into effect.

You do have to enter two different symbols for the number of digits. There is no way around this.
