In particolar there aren't all the user contributed studies, for example the VWAP with standard lines I used in my charts

I am having this problem as well. I updated to the latest version (1282) and now get the message for a study I use quite a bit:

Failed to get the Advanced Custom Study function address for scsf_PriceOverlay in SierraChartStudies.dll. Error: Windows error code 127: The specified procedure could not be found. | 2015-08-17 08:19:09 *

We need more information about this. Follow the instructions here to use an Advanced Custom Study:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DLLUsage.html

At what point is there a problem? Please provide more details. Is there any error message given?

This is a problem. You will need the current version of Sierra Chart for this.

This indicates the particular study you are using, has a new internal name and this is a study which is not listed in the main list of studies. Locate it through Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study. So you first need to remove the existing study and add it again.

Ok thanks, what did you rename it to? I don't see anything similar. I want to take the high and low of the chart my DOM is created from and plot them on the DOM (on the left where the profile plots). I was using PriceOverlay for this and it worked perfectly.

You can use the Daily OHLC study for this.

To add that study to the Trade DOM select Chart >> Studies >> Add Custom Study >> Sierra Chart Custom Studies.

Update: We just realized this might not work properly. You may need to use the Study/Price Overlay study instead. That can be added directly through Chart >> Studies.

Thank you for your help but this study does not work for what I was using PriceOverlay for. This will only let me choose from the studies on the chart. I need the high and low. Is there any way to get the old one back?

It sounds like you will need to put the Daily OHLC study on a chart of the same symbol and overlay that using the Study/Price Overlay study.

The problem is that this only gives me the daily high and low where I need the high and low for a smaller chart. In the meantime I found a solution in case someone else has this issue in the future. The "Overlay (Single Line)" indicator will let you select the high or low just as Price Overlay did.

Thanks

OK that was the actual study which had its internal name changed.

We were trying to remember what it was.

We did not know you needed a different high and low. We thought maybe you wanted to see the previous day's high and low.

Problems solved. I found the study I was looking for in custom studies and modified some internal parameters in order to meet my previous settings. The only problem left is that Sierra Chart version 1282 doesn't run with a NinjaTrader Brokerage account. Does the latest release (v. 1289) solve this lack of connection?

You can use CQG with ninja trader brokerage. But you cannot use Rithmic with ninja trader brokerage.
