I downloaded version 1282 and now when I place the cursor over a candle on my charts I do not get Open/Close figures like my previous version. It use to display: Line: Y: and then show the values right above my chart tabs. How do I get this feature back? Thank you D |

Refer to the first two postings here about this: New Control Bar to replace ToolBar and Status Bar You need to use the Compact Tool Values Window. If you do not see it, refer to this section here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#CannotSeeValuesWindows Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Two issues w 1282 1) I want chart values as chartbook header as before, where values can be quickly read off wherever cursor hovers on any chart candle for all charts. This is fast. As it is now it takes 2 clicks in/out/move and is WAY too slo0w. Please give it back the old way!!!! 2) I want tool bar L side, but it goes there 2" wide not 1/2" wide, and there is no (clear) way to narrow it These total changes were very disruptive and have required many hours of my time, only to stay disrupted. Please put back the chart values as a chartbook header. Thank you |

I COMPLETELY agree with nicker1. It took me a lot of time to try and figure out how to get the chart values header back, only to realize its not part of the new update. And its much easier to use than what we have now, so why change it? D |

The old Status Bar, is gone for good and we are extremely happy about that from an engineering perspective. Refer to the first two posts here about this and the replacement window for Chart Values: New Control Bar to replace ToolBar and Status Bar It will not help to ask for it back. All such requests will be quietly ignored. We have a responsibility at Sierra Chart to develop fast, reliable and well-designed software. The old Status Bar was not consistent with that for various reasons. 1. . As it is now it takes 2 clicks in/out/move and is WAY too slow. Even with the old Status Bar it is necessary by default to activate a tool to see the Chart Values. For what you need, you need to activate Global Settings >> Tool Settings >>Chart Values >>Always Active When Selected and use the Chart Values tool. 2. You need to remove the Status Bar item from the Control Bar for the width to be smaller when vertically docked. This can be done through Global Settings >> Customize Toolbars. Regarding the changes and disruptions, this is the relevant thread to refer to: New Control Bar to replace ToolBar and Status Bar If you did not see it, we apologize for that. We have added links to it on the What is New page at this time. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
