Server side bracket orders are supported with CTS T4, Interactive Brokers and OEC. It was previously supported with CQG, but we had some occasional problems we would hear about and disabled support for it on CQG.

Among these, we generally would recommend CTS T4.

The problem with OEC and bracket orders is that until the parent order fills, it is not possible to modify the Target or Stop. Otherwise, we generally almost never hear about problems with server-side OCO or bracket orders when using OEC.
Cheers

OK, how would OEC or CTS T4 stack up against Rithmic for speed? (I believe faster fills reduces slippage.)

And please, what is the latest on SC/Rithmic fully supporting server-managed bracket orders? My parent entry orders are STOP, MIT or MARKET. Attached OCO are MIT for targets and TRAILERS for protection.

Thank you.

We do not have live trading experience with these, so we do not know the answer to this. We would generally think Rithmic is faster.

Full server-side bracket orders with Rithmic is not currently supported but we expect that eventually will be.

OK, I'm ready to switch (from TradeStation) to Sierra Chart / Rithmic and will need to fund a trading account. So if your Mom was looking for a clearing firm/broker, who would you recommend?

I'm a self-directed day trader, only need to call trade desk if my internet goes out, may want occasional tech support, seek low day trade margins & commissions, trading 50-100 futures contracts (one side) per day.

All suggestions welcome. Thank you.

PS: I already heard the "Mom -- DON'T DO IT!" recommendation.

SC, in post#2:

Same as a year ago. My sense is SC Engineering does not give up easily. Makes me wonder is Rirhmic somehow, for some reason, stonewalling our efforts here?

As always, thanks for your help.

We will let others respond about what broker/clearing firm to use.

Regarding brackets with Rithmic, while Rithmic does support server-side bracket orders, the way that those are implemented does not fit well with how Sierra Chart expects those to work and is inconsistent with every other trading service that supports server-side brackets. Not that their design is not good, but it just does fit well and is not properly compatible.

We have expressed this to them and they intend to make some changes but we do not know when.
