Is there any way to overcome the limit of 12 chart links accessed via a Quote Board? I trade futures spreads and if I am investigating a particular spread, I might want to look at several different spreads before and after for the commodity, as well as multiple years back of history. Also, I want to see the underlying legs of the spread for the same period. For just one candidate, I quickly can go way beyond the need for 12. Even the limit of 30 links (accessed via Chart settings individually, so not much better than just changing out the symbol while you are in chart settings) is low for my needs, but at least it is better than 12. Is there anything that can be done to substantially raise the link limits? |

We need to think about this. It is no problem for us to increase the number of links numbers within the Chart Settings. We have increased that to 100. The 100 limit, as many places as it could be applied, would be very, very helpful...levels of magnitude reduction in manual point, click, select, type, enter and related activity and would be highly appreciated. The reason for requesting it in the Quote Board is not specific to any type of feature in the Quote Board itself, but just that it is by far the best (only?) way I have found to quickly and efficiently change out symbols on groups of charts, via the importing of preset symbol lists, which are linked in the Quote Board to charts (only 12 now but 100 would be ideal for my needs). So if it somehow helps or makes it more feasible to implement the linking of the new 100 chart limit, and to change the symbols on them via some sort of batch and/or import method, without using the Quote Board, that also would fully fit my request. Also, not exactly my request, but a related comment is that when I add the link number as a Chart header item, I am able to at least more efficiently change the link number on charts (without having to enter chart settings, select the appropriate tab and then select from the drop down). This shortcut only allows me to choose from links 1-12 though, not 1-30. Will this change with any modification to match the new allowed 100 chart links? |
