I have a fast computer and SSD drive etc. To load a different time frame on my openEcry forex charts takes a second, it's very fast. To load a different time frame on the forex data through FXCM takes much longer. Is there a good reason for this? I've tried it on charts with indicators and naked charts, with the same results.

Solved.
I just downloaded a different version and so far it seems to have fixed the problem.

This is because there is a lot more data loaded in the chart.

You can reduce the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Days to Load setting to speed this up. Refer to help topic 30.1:

I did try that as well and have read that file. Thanks though. It's solved with using a different Sierra instance.

Somehow it's happened again. It was fine for a few days and now the load time for any time frame takes a longer time again. If I get rid of my Sierra3.cfg, chart load time goes back to very fast. I have only 30 days loaded on the chart and it doesn't matter if its a blank chart or filled with stuff.

It is completely unnecessary to delete the Sierra3.CFG file. That is not the solution. When you delete that file it will change the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit 1 second which will decrease the time to download historical Intraday data and also load chart data.
