I am using the Hoffman Professional indicator set. They work perfectly for the index futures, but when I try to use if for grains, everything on the screen looks normal except that the candlesticks for the daily chart are all collapsed on the bottom of the chart region, along with the indicators for that time frame. Is there some setting I have overlooked? How can I get a normal display in this situation? Thanks http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1436484294255.png This is what the YM looks like with no changes to any setting: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1436484521105.png |

Those charts are hard for us to comprehend. When you do not have any studies on the charts, do they look correct? If so, then add one study at a time to see which one is causing the problem and then check the Scale settings for that particular study. Thanks, that revealed that the offending study is a simple 144 day moving average. When that is hidden, everything else displays normally. Can you see anything that I can change in the settings? I have attached screen shots. Thanks |

When you look through the price data for that chart that the Moving Average does not display properly on, do you see any obvious data errors? Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the chart to scroll through all of the data. Also check the Scale settings for that Moving Average study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html#ScaleWindowStudy Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. When I scroll back in time, I find a gap in the bars between Nov 2014 and May 2015. In that time span the bars are squashed down, but they look normal for the rest of the time. Bars are normal but I can't say if the moving averages are though. I checked the box to roll over the symbols automatically but it did not help. |

Update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease. Here are instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate When the chart is opened with this version, the chart should automatically correct itself. If not, let us know. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. I had already done an update, so when I tried again the system said there was no new update. I found a resolution, though. I noticed that the daily charts in another chartbbook containing only historical charts were displaying the grains properly. So, I copied one of those charts to the Hoffman Professional chartbook and got rid of the old chart. All displays are as expected now. The mystery is why that would be. I compared the chart settings of the “bad” charts to the “good” charts and I can find no difference. Thanks |

If you get a message saying there is no new update available, then you did not select Help >> Download Prerelease. This command will always download the latest release and not get the message. If you see a problem, what you need to do is re-download data for all contract months by following these instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading We apologize for this problem.
