Hi, is it possible to automatically have a marker applied to the chart at the price market opens - e.g. Price @ 08:30 CT on my ES chart?

Yes. A very simple way to do this is to use the Time Line study found in Analysis >> Studies.

thanks, is there a way to display as a horizontal line also? Probably should have mentioned I wanted to show opening price - would give an easy reference to the opening price on chart

Look at the Horizontal Line at Time or the Daily OHLC studies: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks - that works well, until the open price (which is what I want to reference moves out of range on the price scale if it's out of the price range the scale shows(it's a number bar chart) the number bars are squashed: Open price out of scale range: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1436616934839.png Open price in scale range: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1436617071638.png Is there another way to reference the opening price as a horizontal line on the chart without affecting the scale? Lazy I know, but I would like to automatically have a horizontal line from the point of open price until market close. In this instance I have the open price of 2066 (ES) - above price on the first screen capture and below on the second Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-07-11 12:23:57

We apologize for the delay. What you need to do is set the Scale Range for the Horizontal Line at Time study to be set to "Same as Region". Here is the documentation for this: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
