I use floating toolbars but lately every time i open Sierra, they become docked inside the main program window in the default location. I then float them, reposition on another screen, save and exit. When I open Sierra, becomes docked again. This didnt used to happen before so is this a change made by SC or is there sth wrong on my end? Also the status bar automatically becomes visible every time i open sierra even if i hide it before closing. This also was not an issue before. Any ideas? ver1265 Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-06-30 08:03:32

This is related to the new Control Bar development we are doing. We will be finalizing the development of this over the next week or two which will resolve these. The old Toolbars and status bar are being removed. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Im assuming we'll be able to do similar things with the control bar as with the toolbar, just better and more stable. I have a lot of custom toolbar buttons and 2 toolbars that I use frequently along with keyboard shortcuts. Would hate to lose that functionality totally. Will there be a way to migrate current toolbars configurations to the control bar or will it be more like a one time setup of the control bar that we would have to do. Latter is not a problem but would you advise taking a screenshot of current toolbars so its easier to setup similar configuration with the new control bar (lacking any config. migration ability) good riddance to the status bar lol ! wont miss that. sounds promising though.. looking forward to it. |

I noticed the same issue when I upgraded a test system to V1264. I have a couple of questions on the new control bar. Are the toolbar graphic icons also in the control bar? Will the existing toolbar configurations be converted & copied to the control bar or do they have to be manually rebuilt? Will there be a testing period where the control bar & legacy toolbar are both available? Thanks |

Your current toolbar configuration should be copied automatically to the new control bars once development is complete.

No. Not within the same version. This would be too complicated. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Has the new control bar & status bar been released? If not, please indicate in the version notes so I know when to update my test copy. |

Not yet. Should be Monday or Tuesday. It will be mentioned on the What is New page.
