This command is only available in context, meaning it is only available when you right-click on an existing drawing. So there is no global command to assign a hotkey for this.

Yes I understand it's a context-related command but that's the problem. When somebody is laying out a bunch of support, resistance, high volume node lines based on past chart history it's tedious to have to be right clicking all the time just to simply label a line. The hotkey simply calls the function on the drawing and if the function is not applicable to that drawing then nothing happens, it's a noop. The same way when one right clicks on something other than a line they don't see the menu option.

We can implement this but it would have to work similar to Tools >> Move Drawing where you have to either left click on the drawing or enter the number to identify it.

Yep that sounds completely reasonable. I had thought it would operate similar to "erase drawing" or "adjust drawing" etc, whereby when you hit the hotkey it does the similar thing where it presents the drawing numbers and you either left click or enter the number - so I think we're on the same page there.

Hello, Was this ever added? I am in fact searching for ways to improve my chart annotation skills. I am spoiled by modern tools that let me type "r" and draw a rectangle, move it with the keyboard left one candle or up one tick, click any side of it and drag it or snap it by using ctrl + drag to a candle, double click the object and simply type text and then drag the text where I want inside or outside the box or use a floating menu to align the text, change the font, colors, lines. I am also used to having the mouse identify what it is going to do before I click (i.e. showing me a double horizontal arrow if it will allow me to move left or right at a border or a diagonal border at a corner showing me I will be moving both dimensions simultaneously). I was specifically looking for a way to move an extended rectangle a couple candles to the right without changing the height of the rectangle. I was hoping to find a keyboard shortcut, allowing me to use the arrow keys perhaps to move the rectangle up, down, left or right, after clicking the rectangle to select it. Would be nice if hitting enter would let me type text as well, so I wondered perhaps how this had been implemented back in 2015? Any thoughts? Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-07-12 21:45:49
