I am trying to set up block allocation between SC and Open E Cry On single accounts the connection between SC and OEC is fine. When they set me up for allocations I get symbol error messages and my real time data doesn't stream Can you tell me how the Use Account Allocation settings are supposed to work and how I need to set them in order to use SC and OEC together? I want to place my orders on SC. Thanks |

Account allocation for orders has no effect on market data. In speaking with Gain, the data issue has to do with their Trade Manager block allocating accounts and 3rd party charting. Still my question is how to use the Account Allocation section in the SC DTS for Open E Cry. With that section it appears that at one time SC set up a way to communicate allocations to them. Thanks

This feature remains undocumented at this time. We do not know how soon we can get to the documentation. The Account Allocation section for orders has no effect on market data. However, you can still trade multiple accounts just by specifying the account identifiers in the Connection Details >> Account field separated by commas. I have now set in the DTS under Connection Details: Account1,Account2 Under Account Allocation for Orders: Use Account Allocation True Account Allocation String: Account1=2,Account2=1 Allocation Method: Average Price System When I place the order in Sierra Chart it is still sending all 3 units to the Account1 rather than allocating it as per the settings. |

We have to examine the code and how this works.

Are you able to tell me the precise proper way to fill both the Connection Details and Account Allocation For Orders sections according to the Sierra Chart Protocol for trading multiple accounts with OEC? When might you examine the code? Thanks

One thing we want to be clear about, is that when you want to trade multiple accounts do you want to submit an order that gets distributed to multiple accounts or do you want to trade the multiple accounts individually but have access to any of them within Sierra Chart?

For this thread I am interested in the former, submitting an order that gets distributed to multiple accounts.

One thing we can do with this feature to make it more flexible is rather than specifying actual quantities for each subaccount, we could support percentages instead. Or as an alternative if a % character is specified. Let us know if that would be useful.
