I should have known better. I used to change the data files name to do a rollover. The last three rollovers I tried your button but it screws up my charts. I did a rollover after market close yesterday, yet it OVERWRITES my data for previous days (from the start of the new contract I assume.). See attached pics.

What about having the ability to put dates/time in the rollover that we wanted it rolled from, since it seems to go back to the beginning of the new contract and overwrites with scarce data over my previous days?
How do I get my previous data back, so I can rollover the old way until the option is available to roll from the time you push the rollover button.
What happened to my .bak file(s) that are usually in the SierraCHART>DATA files?
Thx

Sounds like you want to use the Continuous Futures Contract feature:

Backup files are contained in the Backups subfolder.

thank you
so if I wanted to start today (say after close yesterday)with the new ESu5 contract, but wanted to keep everything prior to today (before the close yesterday) the same, I would use the:

"Continuous Futures Contract - Date Rule Rollover"
with the (see attached pic)Thursday count within a month, 2

since the rollover for futures happens the second Thursday of the month.
Correct?
Do I need to check the symbols that are involved? Like (H,M,U,Z)?

We really do not recommend altering these rollover settings. The defaults are the CME specific rules and that is what we recommend using.

Those contract months do not need to be checked off on that tab since they are not any different than the standard months.
