Study displaying the range of a bar

Hello. I searched through the available studies but I couldn't find anything to show the range of a bar in pips. Is there anything available that would allow this? What I'm thinking about is a histogram like shown on this screenshot taken on Metatrader http://screencast.com/t/5VqXBug8d Each bar shows with the colour if its bigger, equal or smaller than the previous bar. |

Use the Bar Difference study, set the inputs to High and Low, set the Draw Style to Bar, and set the Auto-Coloring to Based on Slope.

That's a nice one, thank you. I guess there's no way to set a 3rd colour indicating the current bar has the same size as the previous one...

Yes, there is. Add the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study -set the Based On to the Bar Difference study, -set the Chart Region to the same as the Bar Difference study -set the Output When Condition True to Use Input Data -set the Input Data to Difference -set the Draw Style to Bar, and the Width to the same as the Bar Difference study. -use this formula on the Alerts tab: =ID1.SG1=ID1.SG1[-1] The assumes the Bar Difference study is ID1; edit as necessary. |

Well, this is amazing! I read we shouldn't post to express thanks... Sorry but I need to thank you tomgilb. I used Sierrachart some years ago for a while, then I dropped and just went back to it. I have to admit that has been improved greatly. Also, even knowing that study I wouldn't certainly know how to set it correctly. Thanks so very much again! :)
