Hi, I'm looking at this study. I loaded a 15m 6E Chart with the default settings but can't see why the bottom 15% volumes are not printing - See enclosed.

Any ideas?

This study is not within the scope of our standard support. It was custom developed for another group. We would not know the answer to this without careful research.

OK, but it is within your product delivered studies so you need to take responsibility for supporting it. Please point me in the direction of "another group" or research the issue and respond.

We will get to it but we cannot deliver a fast answer on this. We will look at it sometime next week.

The study has to be carefully reviewed and properly documented. It does not have proper and thorough documentation at this time.

No not yet. We do not want to make a promise we cannot keep. We will try to get to this as soon as we can, but we cannot make a promise as to when. We should have not said it would have been last week.

If you would like a refund for Sierra Chart, please let us know.

Once again, this functionality was specially developed for a particular group of users and it is not properly documented and does require specialized code review.

We had a quick look at the study and the calculations appear to be correct. For the 6E, we do see the bottom 15% (the default) volume being colored:

Go to the Subgraphs tab of the Study Settings window for the study and check the color settings.

From the chart image in the first post we can see the color settings are correct.

However, we see that you are not running the current version of Sierra Chart. There were some recent changes to the study. Update Sierra Chart to the latest release.

Also make sure you have a tick by tick data configuration:

Check your input for the Low Volume Percentage. If it is negative or greater than 100 then you will see the behavior that you are observing. Also if it is expressed as a small value < 1 (i.e. .01) you will likely only see low volume plotted on a few bars. The intent of the study is to specify a percentage like 15% not with values of .15.

We will be changing this to enforce valid ranges and better interpret decimal values. Also, the doc is still being worked on.

I've updated SC and the study looks to be functioning fine. Thanks for your input!
