Hi, I have previously used Sierra Chart with AMP and also used the Sierra Chart data "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts". I am now moving to Interactive Brokers and want to use this setup again to receive quality data for the emini S&P500 and trade my IB account via Sierra Chart. If I want to trade the emini S&P500 with IB through Sierra Chart what do I need to do from an IB and SC perspective? Do I need to sign up for CME access from both SC and IB? Thanks |

For good quality data when using Interactive Brokers you will need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and activate this exchange: Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts". We do not think you have to activate this exchange on the Interactive Brokers side. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. If I activate this will it allow me to place trades?

You can place trades to Interactive Brokers from Sierra Chart whether you use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed or not. You do have to subscribe to market data either from Sierra Chart or from Interactive Brokers. If you do not subscribe to CME data from Interactive Brokers, we do not think this would affect order entry. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi, I have now set up my account with IB and will soon activate the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts". Do I need to log out of my AMP account before activating this or can I move it across to any broker? One other question. I will use my Sierra Chart for entering trades but if I log on via the IB mobile app will it recognise that I already paid my CME data fees via Sierra Chart and provide real time data? Default IB is for delayed data. It would be good not to have to pay twice for market data. Thanks |

When using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and the CME Group exchange you can only use it with one copy of Sierra Chart at a time connected to any futures broker, unless you activate additional real-time data connections. You can have up to three connections. . Do I need to log out of my AMP account before activating this or can I move it across to any broker? We really do not understand this question.but if I log on via the IB mobile app will it recognise that I already paid my CME data fees via Sierra Chart and provide real time data?

OK, I activated the "Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed "Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts" and have now logged in with my IB account via SC. I do not see an (M) after the symbol and I don't have market depth. Do I need to wait for this feed to be activated or did I do something wrong? |

Restart Sierra Chart and if you still do not see the [M] indicator after the symbol, provide a copy of the Message Log, by following these instructions: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#log Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
