Please could you indicate how I can add half back reference points for single 30m periods for the TPO profile? I have the midpoint working well, just not the half back points.

Many thanks

We do not know what is meant by "half back reference points". It sounds as though it is not supported.

Half back is found an all periods of Market Profile TPO Charts to indicate support/resistance from day/short time frame traders. They are the exact half way point on each period after the period completes.

How are these normally indicated? Are they indicated as lines. Or as highlighting of the letter or block.

Dalton uses a backlash/forward slash through the half way point letters. However they can be highlighted however you want. Probably not a coloured letter though as there as many settings that re-colour the letter. Perhaps circled or boxed letter?

It would be even more user friendly if they were programmed so they're only visible when the profile is for want of a better word opened up, rather than the composite profile.

half back = mid, olambeth he wants to have mid point reference for each 30m bracket when he splits the profile out.

I would also like to see this capability. Everyone who follows Jim Dalton would appreciate seeing this indicator on the TPO chart.

I wonder if there is any way to show the sub period midpoint on the Label column of the Chart DOM. For example, it could show as A MP for A period, B MP for B period but over in the label. My thinking here is that would be a useful reference for someone that pays close attention to those areas on a TPO chart when they are looking at a different chart like candlestick, etc.

If this isn't possible, might it be possible to add to the TPO Value Area Lines study under Subgraphs?

I can put the daily midpoint on the Label column using Daily OHLC which is very useful, but it would be great to have each period's midpoint (halfback in Jim Dalton terms) on the Label column.
