Dear engineers,
I wanted to ask you what might went wrong if my Sierra 2min Candlestick charts aren't behaving as it used to...
I have set it up 2min charts as well as Order Flow charts with a countdown timer and the strange thing I see is as follows :
I see that my PC clock is synchronize with Sierra countdown timer correctly. But soon the 2min candlestick reaches the 00 time when new candle stick should start drawing out the countdown timer is held on 00 and the old candle is still drawing the actual price and after sometimes 15 sometimes 20 seconds the countdown timer shows 1:43 and until that new candle is not draw.
Can you please tell me how thsi can be fixed?I have TTnet data provider and quite reliable network connectivity to Frankfurt with latency 15ms..
Many thanks
David Kaspar

Make sure you have a tick by tick data configuration:

Remove all studies from the chart and post an image of the chart at the time you see a problem.

Provide an image of the chart, by following these instructions:

As you can see on the screen shots I attached in sequence (1),(2),(3),(4)...
The PC clock is already past the time where new candle should starts as the time ran out...
But is still drawing old candle as you can see on the volume going up and the countdown timer
is still on 00...
Then after approximately 27 seconds countdown timer changes the value from 00 to 1:23 and then new
candle starts drawing...
This is really strange and I cannot trade with such conditions..many thanks for looking into it
regards
David

Hello,
any updates on that?I really appreciate if you can explain or tell me what can cause this issue as without proper drawings of the candles I can not
day trade the market and as I trade only very volatile DAX its really matter of accuracy what I need.
Many thanks for your support

I found the solution :-) I have re-installed my Windows and changed the CMOS battery and it seems to be OK now.
Thanks

We apologize. Since this was marked as a User Discussion we had not been looking at it.

We do not think the problem was related to Windows or the CMOS battery.

We think it has something to do with Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Other Settings >> Timestamp Using Local Computer Clock. How is that set now?

The Other Settings is in the list at the left side of the Global Settings >>Data/Trade Service Settings window.

We apologize. We see you are using Rithmic. In this case there is no setting for time stamping of market data. The Rithmic provided timestamp is what is used always.

There is a setting for this for AMP/TTNet.

Yes,I have changed the data provider as TTnet is really not good for Order flow reading...
May I ask you how can I set up Sierra so the TTnet wont try to connect when I launch Sierra?
I have deleted TTnet user name password and unticked - connect on program start up and reconnect on failure..
But even though I restart Sierra and there is a log file indication the program is trying to reconnect to TTnet.
Many thanks
David

Next time you run Sierra Chart, the Service will not be set to AMP/TTNet.
