Hihi,

I decided to use Spreadsheet System/Alert instead of Spreadsheet Study. So I have Columns K and M as BUY and SELL Entry. I have prescribed the alert condition in Study Settings >> ALERTS and I ticked "Evaluate on the BAR Close". I want it to be evaluated on the Bar Close. And this does not work.....it evaluates it straight away and sends alerts once the condition is met....but Alert system does not wait for the bar close....to do the evaluation and then send an alert if the condition is met....Can u pls double check why this very important for me option does not work??

Thank u

Go to the Settings and Inputs tab and set 'Signal Only On Bar Close (Columns K,M)' to Yes.

The Evaluate On Bar Close on the Alerts tab is non-functional in this study.

From documentation:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AlertCondAndScan.html#EnterAlertOnStudy

The Spreadsheet System/Alert study and the Spreadsheet System for Trading study, do not support specifying an Alert Condition Formula or using the Alert options on the Alerts tab of the Study Settings window for these studies. The reason for this, is that the studies themselves have advanced alert functionality which is separate from the Alerts tab.

As has been said you need to use the Signal Only On Bar Close (Columns K,M) input.

A quick question!! I noticed that in Spreadsheet Study / Alert....even if I do not prescribe Alert conditions in >>>>Study Settings >>> Alerts...it still works and sends Alerts as required just because Condition / TRUE is met in either column K or M or BUY ENTRY ...SELL Entry...
Once it is TRUE...it rings fantastic....Can u confirm, I do not need to prescribe anything in ALERTs Tab in Study Settings then??

Hihi Just installed new version 1235 (latest) with old spreadsheet studies. My email alert notification started to fail however. Alert is triggered, yet I don't receive an email. Alert Manager Log states: Alert Email Error: Your email provided is blocking Alert Emails, Contact Sierra Chart Support. Can you please help on this one. Thank you.
