When I call SetAlert I get a message that looks like this: Alert - Chart: ESM15 15 Min #1 | Study: Signal-Alert | Formula: Entering Bullish Market Alert | Last Price: 2050.00 | Bar Start Time: 2015-03-27 11:15:00 | Alert: Alert 1 Wen I call AddAlertLine I get a message that looks like this: Entering Bullish Market Alert | Chart: ESM15 15 Min #1 | Study: Signal-Alert Shouldn't AddAlertLine produce a line that has the same formatting and info as SetAlert? |

Not really. We could make portions of them more consistent but they will be different.

I'm using AddAlertLine to put message to the alert log for historical bars. Looking at the two messages, all the data is available in both real time and historical. From your answer I understand that AddAlertLine is not always used in the context of historical or maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps I'm not using the api correctly? Is there a different way to add alerts for historical bars? |

What is it you are specifically looking for when using sc.AddAlertLine? It is not possible for us to add: "Last Price: 2050.00 | Bar Start Time: 2015-03-27 11:15:00" since that function was not designed to provide this information.
