hi.. is there a way to apply a moving average study or an alternative study that allows me to see the average value of the last X mins as specified by me regardless of what time frame chart is loaded. For eg. Right now I am able to do that by applying a simple moving avg to a 1 min chart by specifying the length to be 30 which gives me the avg value for the last 30 mins. My problem is that if I switch that chart to a 2 min or 5 min, the moving average value is no longer based on the last 30 mins because the length in the study is still looking at the previous 30 bars. Is there a way to keep the look back time constant ? thanks.

The Moving Average Studies do not offer this function. But you can use ASCIL or a Spreadsheet study which will do exactly what you need. Within the study or Spreadsheet you can calculate the number of bars (length) required to cover the desired time period, and apply a moving average with required length.
