Why Are TPO Profile Charts and TPO Value Area Lines So Different?

Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. What I have is this: 1. 1 Min Chart of ES, Day Session only 2. Standard TPO Profile (30min blocks, 70% value area, etc) 3. TPO Value Area Lines. These are set to the same 30min and 70% value area and are set to plot the value area and POC from the previous day onto the current day. However, when I do this, the levels are completely off. Here is an annotated image of the chart and the settings. The TPO Value Area Lines are the grey boxes with the pink POC. http://s7.postimg.org/w0nkydg0r/TPODifferences.jpg They should line up with the previous day's value area and POC. Sometimes some of them are close but they should be exact. I've checked/tried everything here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TPOVolProfileCharts.html#IncorrectValues and it my settings look correct for getting accurate results. Okay, so the solution is simply this: 1. Plot TPO Value Area Lines onto a 1 Minute chart (or any time frame that is an increment of 30 - 2,3,5,6,10,15). 2. Use Study/Price Overlay to then add it to any other chart you want. The levels plot accurately this way. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-03-01 20:40:21

Why are the following two studies on the same chart giving completely different Value area lines? a) TPO Profile Chart b) TPO Value Area Lines I have gone through the above link, but that doesnt explain the difference. |
