CQG AMP (trading) has disappeared

For the last week when I log in it connects to CQG FIX Trading [trading] despite me having CQG AMP trading selected under Data/Trade Service settings; I change it back to the proper setting (CQG AMP) and it starts working again, but when I close the application and restart it goes back to CQG FIX. I downloaded the latest version of SC thinking this would fix my problem, but CQG AMP isn't even a selection in the Service selection menu anymore! What is going on?

So when it is set CQG FIX Trading there is not a connection to the CQG server? If so, we need to contact AMP about this for you.

Correct (with the latest version of SC). V.1235 would not connect at all (it timed out after about 20-30 minutes or so so I quit trying) . My previous version (1217) would work with FIX, just not properly. But I reinstalled v.1220 and the CQG AMP service was listed, and once I connected to it it worked properly. I just have to manually connect to it after startup. Why is the AMP trade service not listed in the latest version? And why won't it automatically connect to AMP on startup anymore?

CQG AMP is the same as CQG FIX Trading. So we are not totally sure about the problem but in version 1220 CQG AMP may use the CQG Web API.
