Hello,

I am wondering how I would go about viewing a chart of daily stock data that is pre 1900. I was able to do this in a previous version of Sierra Charts, I just recently re-enabled my account and installed the latest version of Sierra Chart and i cannot do it any longer. For example i have daily data of the Dow Jones Average, from 1885 to 2015, and when i try opening up the file, only data from January 1, 1900 to todays date is displayed. What do i have to do to correct this, and have all my data displayed.

Thanks

Are the years in a four digit format?

We have looked into this, and apparently what happens is that dates earlier than 1900 are filtered out because they have a negative value internally.

Therefore, this is not supported.

Let us know if you would like a refund.

It is not worth it for us to support this because it involves too much changes and analysis.

Oh ok. But I had no problem viewing pre-1900 data on an older version of Sierra Charts (a version from last year). Is it possible to uninstall the current version of Sierra Charts and re-install my older version that allowed viewing older data?

Yes, i had a Sierra Chart version from January of 2014 on my hard drive (as a back-up). I installed it on my computer and it allows me to plot stock data from prior to january 1, 1900. So that problem is solved using an older version.
