Any chance to set a generic MACD Cross or like alert and have it show up in my quote board next to the contract or stock in which the alert is firing off?

It's so not reasonable to have to have the chart open? Otherwise wouldn't we just look at the chart or do you suggest we minimize the chart therefore sucking tons of unnecessary computer resources to have many chart windows open.

Thanks

The concept of Study values on the Quote Board without a chart makes absolutely no sense to us. We have discussed this in another thread. There is not any kind of reasonable logic to the implementation of something like this.

A few points:
What are the study settings?
What are the chart settings?
Is there any missing data in the chart?
In the case the futures contract near rollover, what about the historical futures data for the prior contract?
If a customer says there is something wrong with the study value on a quote board, do you know how difficult it is to figure out where the problem is without seeing the chart data?

A chart object absolutely is required for studies. You cannot get around that. And if you minimize the chart, you eliminate the graphics load from it. But otherwise, all of the other functionality of the chart is 100% essential to calculate a study and there simply is no way around this whatsoever.
