What is Preventing Some Studies From Updating in Real Time?

I am noticing that some color bar and some overlay studies are not updating in real time.

However, when I go to Studies and simply click "ok" they update to their correct values.

Here is an example using a study overlay of the initial balance:

The color bar issue -

It sometimes:

A) Fails to color the bar when the conditions are present
B) Colors the bar and then if the condition changes and the state is no longer present, it stays colored.

Studies > Click OK fixes both.

I will post a color bar example here when I am able to capture one. This color bar is designed to update in real time with information that is important to me. As of now, when I want to see it update correctly, I have to go to Studies > OK.

Do you know why this is happening?

Here is an example of the color bar issue:

The two bars to the immediate left of the current bar should be colored yellow.

They only color correctly on Studies > click OK

Need to know why the color bar issue might be happening please.

How can I get this to recalculate properly in real time without having to open the studies window and force the recalculation?

1. We will have a look at the Study/Price Overlay study with your described case.

However, refer to the documentation for the Study/Price Overlay study and see if changing any of the inputs which control the referencing of the data in the source chart, solves the issue.

2. There definitely is not any problem with the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study. There could be some calculation precedence issue. We do not know exactly what you are doing with it and what the formula is and the video is not helpful. The issue has to do with the studies it is referencing. So look at those and the calculation precedence.

Are there studies that cannot be referenced for an alert? If so , where is the list?
