I have two installations of Sierra Chart on one computer; SC00 (source) and SC01 (destination). SC01 was a new download. If in SC01 I set Global Settings>General Settings>Data Files Folder to C:\SC00\Data, and I can then access and load a chartbook in SC01 that was created in SC00, and the chartbook then receives its real time data from SC00. However, I am not getting the Chart Background Color or Global Symbol settings which were set in SC00. Do they need to be set in SC01? I did try copying Sierra3.cfg and GlobalSymbolSettings.xml, from SC00 to SC01, but they did not have any effect either on the Chartbook or for example the Global Settings>Graphic Settings. I tried closing and reopening SC01, but still no change in the settings? |

Do not share the data folder in this way. You will create problems for yourself and us. When copying the configuration files, Sierra Chart cannot be running. To share data between instances, refer to the Multiple Services page. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
