Good morning, Only the intraday charts are updating correctly with a new candle for each intraday period. This morning the daily and weekly charts are not showing a new candle and the price is continuing on top of Fridays daily and last weeks weekly charts. That is to say, rather than there being a new candle for the new day and one for the new week, there is a space where the candles should be and the previous daily and weekly candles (which obviously closed / ended on Friday) is showing the current price As I said the intraday candles are fine. I am using high accuracy spread charts and the daily and weekly charts of the legs of the spreads have no issues and are updating correctly. I have tried reloading the charts, deleting and downloading data, re-opening SC Please advise. Thanks in advance http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1421658627872.png http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1421658403346.png Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-01-19 09:11:44

Our impression of this, is that there is not a new bar in the underlying data in the Daily or Weekly chart which has the Study Overlay - OHLC study. The solution to this is to set the chart data type in Chart >> Chart Settings to Intraday Chart Only for the chart that contains the Study Overlay - OHLC study. Otherwise, a problem like this could occur. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. There is daily and weekly data for the underlying legs of the spreads and they are updating properly. I have had intraday, daily and weekly data for the spread charts for several months and this problem has suddenly appeared this morning. I have made the adjustments you advised above but I do need to see daily data as well as intraday and my understanding is that the solution you suggest will not allow this. |

You can still see Daily and Weekly bars when you set the chart data type for the chart to Intraday Chart Only. For Daily bars set the Days-Minutes-Seconds Per Bar value to 1-0-0 in Chart >> Chart Settings. Weekly would be 7-0-0. Let us know if this solves the problem. We would expect it would. At least it is a temporary method to solve it if for some reason the daily bar data is missing for the current day. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. This has solved the problem, thank you. Is it best to keep the charts on this Intraday Chart Only setting or should I return the setting to Historical if and when the issue is resolved and daily bars for the current period are showing again?

Continue to use it when you notice this problem. Otherwise, you can use the standard historical Daily chart data. Another thing to try when you have this problem is to select Edit >>Download Data for All Historical Charts. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
