Greetings, Recent difficulties about correct position tracking and communication between SC and IB (see other posts if interested in this question) require that I know what will be sent to IB if I opt for a Flatten or Reverse order from Trading Window. In other words, does the order sent read "Flatten" or does it read, for instance, "Buy 4 ES201503 at the Market"? Same for Reverse, of course. Since I have no idea what SC believes my position to be I need to know if these buttons are usable or not. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Demi1201 |

Hello, Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately this means that, upon hitting the flatten button SC would act upon the information it has stored in its incorrect files regarding positions open and thus the Flatten and Reverse buttons are dangerous or useless. Perhaps your work with the DTC Protocol will improve this situation and I don't want to make demands on your time for this issue, but I wonder if others have experienced it as well. See my other post "Discrepancy between....". This problem may only happen when using Advisor account and Use Order Fill Calculated Position and thus may not be of interest to most traders. But why can't SC simply quiery IB and get the positions that are open instead of relying on its flawed data? I have so many times updated trade positions, cleared the trading log etc. but to no avail: some phoney positions remain somewhere in memory and I still don't know how to get rid of them. This seems an important functionality issue. Please advise. Dem |

We plan to look over your other thread. We just have not gotten to that yet. There should be a way to get accurate Trade Position data from TWS for advisor accounts. We will be following up with you on that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
