1. There was a small bug in the connection logic for Rithmic in the first revision of version 977 which prevents a connection to Rithmic. This is now resolved. Please update to the latest revision of 977 by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease. 2. If you do not place a non-simulated order on Rithmic after 45 days, you will be notified of that and disconnected from the server. This can be solved by reconnecting to the server and entering an order. It does not have to fill. Could be a limit order that you can cancel. Please understand that the Rithmic trading platform is meant for trading. It cost them money to maintain that system and they expect that Sierra Chart users are trading. Otherwise, we could lose connectivity to Rithmic. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. This does not affect me at this time, but I'm curious as to what you mean. Is this a case of some SC users getting free (or discounted) SC subscriptions and not generating enough volume? If so, I can understand that SC would not longer be free or discounted for these users. But why would SC be unable to connect to Rithmic? |

Because Rithmic will cut Sierra Chart off their system. It's that simple. They can do that. If users are not trading enough, then that will happen. So if you are someone who just watches charts and doesn't trade, then please do not use Rithmic. Go elsewhere. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
