I'm normally pretty self supporting when it comes software but I'm stuck. I already researched many if the support threads. I have a real FXCM account and I can connect to it via Data/Trade service settings. Also no problem in placing orders via the SC Trade Window. I want to make sure that: 1) I get real-time data (I use 60' through 1' charts a lot) 2) Data as accurate as possible. So, I prefer to get the for the DAX future instead of the data for the FXCM CFD GER30 I also have turned on the SC Real Time datafeeds: -Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for Trading accounts -EUREX Questions: 1)Which Service do I turn on? -FXCM FIX [trading] -SC Forex DATA(FXCM) [data] -SC Historical data 2)Do I really still need the SC real time feeds (costs about $54 a month) or do I get that fromn FXCM already? (When I was using my Interactive Brokers account it really helped because getting the data from IB is a royal PITA) Thanks for any help |

If you want to use your FXCM account, then you need to use the FXCM FIX Trading Service. It is not possible to integrate the real-time EUREX futures data feed from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data feed with FXCM because the data does not directly correspond to CFD prices. You would need to install another copy of Sierra Chart and set it to use the SC Exchange Data service and then you can look at the EUREX data in that copy of Sierra Chart. Here are instructions to install another copy: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time 2)Do I really still need the SC real time feeds (costs about $54 a month) or do I get that fromn FXCM already? Ok, I did as you suggested and installed a seperate copy of SC. As a matter of fact that might work better since I have two screens. I will use one installation for trading, using the FXCM FIX account. The other one for analysis using the 'SC Exchange Data' However, after setting this latter one up I notice that my 1 min charts are always at least 10 min behind. Is this normal? Are there any other settings that I need to maken in dataservice? Rgds |

still can't get it to work the way i would like. the symbol 'DYZ14[M]' is uptodate and I see the ask/bid lines moving the symbol 'CLF15[M]' tends to be 10min or more behind, I don't see ask and bid lines and I have to do 'delete and download data' to get it uptodate(=10 min behind) |
