Hello,

Some time ago I downloaded a study from your web page called scanABVDT (attached if needed). I am now not able to locate the user who contributed it but I would like to ask if it is possible to change it so that it did not plot after the bar closes but in real-time.

Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Hana

Hello

Yes it was possible for another study so I'll try to add it to this study next week or so.

Try this study. It will work for a current bar only.

So you need to use scanABVDT and CBscanABVT together.

Let me know how it will work for you. :)

Hello, thanks, I will try it.
Also, it occured to me during the night that you could in fact enhance your newly included study Volume at Price Threshold Alert by visual drawing at the given price exactly as in this scanABVDT study.

Thanks for now.

Hana

Hello,
I tried the study, it plots in real time OK, however it is a bit confused as I have two scanABVDT studies on my chart, one for Bid volume and one for Ask volume. So the new study prints the hash (that I have chosen) for both Aks and Bid at the same time and does not distinquish if it is Ask or Bid (I hope it is clear...).

Anyway, in the meantime I use the audio alert from the Volume at Price Threashold Alert which is fine and goes off real-time.
Thanks.

Use RightHash/LeftHash.

Yes, that is what I use. I have one study with righthash for bid, and another study with lefthash for ask (no other way to distinquish between ask and bid). The problem is that the new study (two included in the chart studies, one for bid, one for ask) prints both at the same time even though only bid volume meets the condition or ask volume meets the condition.
Thanks.

Oh, I have to say sorry, I had incorrect settings, I had both studies for ask and none for bid. Apologies, again.
I will let you know on Tuesday if it all works fine (Monday is a public holiday here).

Thanks and I apologize once again.

Hello,

I do not want to be too daring but I at least I will try and ask...
In the above discussion we had long time ago, I had one .dll (scaABDT_b3.dll) and you created another one for me (CBscanABVT_b4.dll).
I am attaching both of them for reference.

I know it is not your job and I will understand if you do not reply but would it be possible to mend the files?
After I migrated to a new PC, I am unable to have them running and as I am not a programmer, I am not sure what to do with them.

Thanks a lot in advance. And again, I will understand if you do not do anything :).
Kind regards,
Hana

I've made some correction for new marker names and recompiled with no tests.

Pls, let me know if something goes wrong for you.

Hello,

I started Sierra Chart today and the problem returned. It seems that the issue is elsewhere.

For the last couple of days, every new day I start SC, I "lose" the custom studies in the chart as well as my added custom studies in the list under the options "Analysis - Studies - Add Custom Studies". I can see only Sierra Chart studies and User Contributed Studies, no "my" studies. After I re-install version 7 of Sierra Chart, the studies suddenly show in the chart and also I can see all my added studies in the list of "Analysis - Studies - Add Custom Studies".

Do you by any chance have a clue where the problem might be? It never happened to me before on any previous PCs.

Thanks and kind regards,
Hana

Hello,

I'm not a Windows user so I've no idea, sorry.
Try to address it to SC Support by starting a new thread.

Hana, are you certain you’re using the correct 32 bit or 64 bit SC exe to start your platform? If these are 32bit DLL studies you’re not going to see them in the 64bit version of SC unless they are recompiled for 64bit. Since SC now installs both 32 and 64bit versions on your PC if you’re not paying close attention could you inadvertently be starting the 64bit version?

Instead of using the desktop icons try loading the program from your main SC Folder and you’ll see the 32 bit SierraChart.exe file as well as one that ends SierraChart_64.exe. If that turns out to be your problem just recreate the proper desktop shortcut from there. If you already know all this I apologize, your symptoms sound like this could be your problem.

Hello Scott,

Indeed, I always start from a shortcut for 64bit version but after re-installing it I can see in About that it says 32bit.
So I just changed the shortcut :).
Thanks a lot.

Hana
