I noticed that whenever the market makes a run and my CTS T4 prints new prices the SierraCharts prints those same prices slightly later. Is this normal?

Please refer to help topic 4 here:

It sounds as though you may want to reduce the Chart Update Interval.

I checked my Chart Update Interval and it is at 500 milliseconds. I assume this is the reason why I have the lag.
If I replay my charts will it still display this lag or does it display tick by tick?
And is there a general rule of thumb in picking the Chart update interval value or is it just experimentation?

I noticed something similar today. I have a user study called "Clock", and I can set it to computer time or data time, and Sierra chart time runs about 7-8 seconds, at the closest, behind computer time. Is that just distance from data source location, or my computer speed, or internet provider service, or trade data provider delivery system, or couduit capacity, or what? What should I expect?

Thanks

that is the difference between the data provider time and your computer time

you can get a more accurate clock by changing the internet server by clicking your clock in the lower right > change time and date settings > internet time > change settings and update to a different one. microsoft time servers are terrible

and about the chart update interval, that only applies to real time streaming. not replay

it is the speed at which sierra chart updates from your data provider

500 milliseconds is a good speed.
