Combination Symbol Chart
This study adds/subtracts up to six charts together and displays the resulting calculated bars.
This study functions similar to the Difference (Bar) study except that it supports 6 charts.
Refer to the Multiple Chart Studies instructions for the steps to use the Combination Symbol Chart study.
The referenced charts must be open at all times and be within the same Chartbook for this study to work properly.
The chart that this study is added to is considered Chart #1. Charts can be added multiple times if desired, by selecting the same chart in the Use Chart # options.
The displayed graph can be either a bar or single line. The actual graph type is set through the Graph Draw Type setting on the Subgraphs tab of the Study Settings window for the study.
For every bar/column in this study, it references the corresponding bar/column in the charts being referenced. This is the nearest matching Date-Time value in the chart being referenced compared to the Date-Time of the corresponding bar in the chart this study is on. So if there is no exact Date-Time match, then the nearest bar will be used instead.
When any chart used in the calculation is updated, then the last column of the study and any new columns of the study in the chart are updated.
Inputs
- Use Latest Source Data for Last Bar: When this input is set to Yes then the latest bar that is available in the charts is used for the comparison with the last bar in Chart 1.
- Chart 1 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the primary graph that is used for the difference calculation. By default this value is set to 1.
- Use Chart 2: When this input is set to Yes then the chart defined in Chart 2 Number is combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included with this study.
- Chart 2 Number: Defines the Chart Number to be used as the second set of data to be combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included in this study.
- Chart 2 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the second graph that is used for the combination calculation. By default this value is set to 1. This value can be negative, which would act as a subtraction of this chart.
- Use Chart 3: When this input is set to Yes then the chart defined in Chart 3 Number is combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included with this study.
- Chart 3 Number: Defines the Chart Number to be used as the third set of data to be combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included in this study.
- Chart 3 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the third graph that is used for the combination calculation. By default this value is set to 1. This value can be negative, which would act as a subtraction of this chart.
- Use Chart 4: When this input is set to Yes then the chart defined in Chart 4 Number is combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included with this study.
- Chart 4 Number: Defines the Chart Number to be used as the fourth set of data to be combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included in this study.
- Chart 4 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the fourth graph that is used for the combination calculation. By default this value is set to 1. This value can be negative, which would act as a subtraction of this chart.
- Use Chart 5: When this input is set to Yes then the chart defined in Chart 5 Number is combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included with this study.
- Chart 5 Number: Defines the Chart Number to be used as the fifth set of data to be combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included in this study.
- Chart 5 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the fifth graph that is used for the combination calculation. By default this value is set to 1. This value can be negative, which would act as a subtraction of this chart.
- Use Chart 6: When this input is set to Yes then the chart defined in Chart 6 Number is combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included with this study.
- Chart 6 Number: Defines the Chart Number to be used as the sixth set of data to be combined with the primary chart and the other charts that are included in this study.
- Chart 6 Multiplier: Defines the multiplier value to be applied to the sixth graph that is used for the combination calculation. By default this value is set to 1. This value can be negative, which would act as a subtraction of this chart.
