(See attached) I have a 5 lot bracket order and I keep changing & saving the configuration to sell 2 lots at TP 1, two more at TP2, and the last one at TP 3. However, whenever I open SC... it gets changed to what is shown in the attached image with the bracket selling just ONE lot at TP 1 instead of two. Is there any way to fix this? It keeps doing it. I change it and save it so it is correct, then when I come back... the bracket is changed again.

Keep in mind that the selected configuration at the top of the Trade Window does not change if you make changes to the setup. In other words, if you have selected the configuration named "5-Lots-12SL" and then change your setup and then change back to what should match up, but without selecting the configuration itself, then the current setup will not necessarily match the configuration. For example, if you select that configuration, then change the quantity to 4, then change the quantity back to 5, how the quantities are distributed may not be what is set in the configuration. To be certain that you have the setup as you want, you would need to reselect the configuration at the top of the window. But, we will say that just exiting Sierra Chart and opening it again should not make any difference to the quantity distribution in the Trade Window. Thank you, that is what is happening. I sometimes change the 5 lot setting to 3 lots to make it 1 contract at each of the three profit targets. When I switch back to 5, the number of contracts at each profit target isn't right. Re-selecting the bracket fixes it. I suppose it might be nice if the software defaulted to taking off more contracts at TP 1 rather than TP 3. "Get the core off first" vibes. Or maybe a setting for that. Not a huge issue, it has been explained. But maybe a nice little feature to reduce some extra clicking. |
