Sierra Chart Chat crashing

Hi, I have been trying to get my alerts to trigger in a chat group, but as soon as I do anything in the chat window in freezes completely - I have no option but to force exit out of Chat which kills Sierra Chart also and needs to be reloaded. I can make a new group, but as soon as I attempt to do anything with the group is freezes up. Any help much appreciated, Bill |

Thanks for the very quick response! I have updated to 2670 and it's behaving exactly the same unfortunately... A remote assistance session would be fine thanks, maybe we could schedule for tomorrow please? Also, I am a Linux user running SC with Wine, just in case that's relevant. Thanks, Bill |

Yes this is very relevant. This is a known issue. We think it is because the chat runs on another thread. We need to implement the option to not use a separate thread for chat. Actually we were thinking about this, we do not think this is a change we can make. It has associated complications.
