This might be a feature request: I use the Ext. Rectangle tool every day to draw a transparent outline of a specific range from that day. These are relevant areas when the market revisits them, but sometimes they are overlapping, & it might be days, weeks or months before the market revisits the area. I would like to see the date of the drawing, similar to how the anchor prices can be displayed. This will help greatly in evaluating the meaningfulness or relevance of that area, if at all. These drawings are done exclusively on a TPO chart, by the way; however, this isn't anything to do with Value Areas, Opening Ranges, etc. If there's a way to do this that I'm not aware of, without opening properties for each drawing & reviewing all the anchor dates, I'd be glad to know. Thank you! |

You can add text to an Extending Rectangle, like you can with most drawing tools. Right click on the rectangle and select "Modify Text", then enter the text you want for that rectangle. You can control where it displays with the setting for "Labels on Right" on the Chart Drawing Properties.

John: Wonderful! I had tried different combinations of the configuration & adding modified text- but the problem was the text was the same color as the rectangle- I needed to change the border color, so now it's all sorted out. Thank you! This slight thing is actually a big help!! Thank you thank you! |
