Hello there,

Please find attached two screenshots of the same chart.

Day VWAP different patters - Laptop
Day VWAP different patters - DeskTop

I have Sierra Charts Platform installed, to trade from, on two computers. My personal laptop and my personal desktop.

One screenshot has been taken from my laptop showing DAY VWAP Chart and the other screenshot has been taken from my desktop of the same DAY VWAP Chart, however as you can see the pattern of the candles are completely different.

If you look at the date and time they are the same, but something is still not correct as the pattern is different.

The correct pattern is shown on the desktop and I would like to have the same view on my laptop as well.

Where in Settings, do I have to go to adjust the chart view to be exactly the same on my laptop as it is on my desktop.

In Chart tab and Chart Settings I have the time zone set exactly the same on both my laptop and desktop computer.

I look forward to hearing from you asap.

Regards,

Dorel

The problem is not the VWAP itself, it is the underlying data. There is something different between your chart data between the two systems. You can see this by looking at the Volume Profile along with the bars themselves. Most likely there is something about the Chart Settings that is different between the two systems - the most likely item is the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> New Bar At Session Start". Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: New Bar at Session Start (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu)

But, it could be any number of other settings. You need to look through all the items to see what is different.

Another option is to copy the Chartbook from one system to the other and see how the charts differ. If they are different in that case, then it is not the Chart Settings, in which case make sure you have the "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Other Settings >> Intraday Data Storage Time Unit" is set the same for both systems.

Hi John,

I checked both options you suggested and the settings are the same on both machines.

Screenshots of these settings are attached to this message.

Please let me know what can we do next to synchronize them.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dorel

Looking at the information about your account, it looks like the two systems are running different versions of Sierra Chart. Although it is highly doubtful that this would have any impact, we really need to have both systems running the same version in order to rule this out. Please update both systems to the current release, which is version 2667. Follow these instructions to update both systems:
Software Download: Fast Update

On one system, duplicate the chart to a new chartbook and then save that new chartbook. Then copy that chartbook to the other computer and open it on that other computer. See if the data is different in that new chartbook. We expect that in this case the charts will look identical.
