Hello,

Previously, I was able to do chart replay for expired futures contracts. For example, I would create a new chartbook and open an expired contract and then use chart replay to practice on that data. I have done several updates since I last did the replay and now it does not work. My replay chartbook has a 1m, 15m and 1h chart. I store data per 1 tick so there should be data in the historical file.

The same thing is happening on the current contract if I go back to July 1st, which is within this contract, the hourly chart has data but the 1m and 15m charts do not. When I actually play the chart replay, the entire chartbook jumped to July 10th and the 1m and 15m charts start painting the candles in a tick by tick manner.

The ability to replay old data is very helpful to practice recognizing entries and executing them and is a feature that separates Sierra Chart from other packages.

Thanks in advance,
Corey

You are getting your data from Interactive Brokers. If you do not already have the data on your system for a particular time, then you will need to ensure that the setting for "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download Limit" is set to a value high enough that you can get the data you are wanting. Refer to the following:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Downloading More Days of Historical Data Directly from Interactive Brokers

Aside from the above, if you have the data, then you should have that data showing in all your charts. The only thing we can think in relation to your statement that "the hourly chart has data but the 1m and 15m charts do not", is that there is data at a later point in the hour, just not at the beginning of the hour. But we really need to see images of the 1-hour and 1 minute charts covering the same time frames, so we can get an idea of what is occurring.

We do have to wonder if this is related to issues with the Interactive Brokers data. We recommend installing a second Sierra Chart and keeping the service set to "SC Data - All Services". This will give you access to our historical data, so you can see if you have the same issue with our data versus Interactive Brokers.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
