I checked Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance and wondering if I could use 2 SC instances like that Instance A: This will use Denali + Nasdaq TV Instance B: This will use SC Real Time + US Equities Data Package When I change the symbol from TSLA-NQTV to AAPL-NQTV within instance A, I would like to see the symbol is automatically changed in instance B (from TSLA to AAPL) Is that possible somehow? |

We apologize, but that particular method of sharing data between separately installed instances using the DTC server, does not work. The exchanges do not allow this method for sharing data. We will update that documentation. But, there is no issue with using the instances as you have specified them above. Additionally, you are allowed to get data to three different installations of Sierra Chart on the same system. Refer to the information here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed Connections on Same Computer Simultaneously There is not a way to link symbols between instances. So there is not a way to change the symbol in Instance A and have a chart in Instance B change its symbol. You mean it is not possible even with custom study/dtc protocol? |

You could create a custom study that writes out information from one installation and reads it into the other installation, thus allowing for a change of symbol. It's a bit messy, but yes, it could be done.
