Hi There, My stock charts are not updating (AAPL, SBUX, etc). I'm getting the following from the message log: Notice: Receiving historical data for symbol that differs from current request. Things were fine just yesterday. I'm with Interactive Brokers and I've updated to the most recent version of Sierra Chart. Help is appreciated. Thanks! |

Make sure you are also running the most recent "Stable" release of the TWS software. There were some changes that occurred a few months ago such that you need to be on the most recent versions of both programs, and it sounds like you might have gotten caught when you updated your Sierra Chart.

You are going to have all kinds of endless problems with Interactive Brokers data. We recommend using the Denali Data Feed with the NASDAQ TotalView data for US stock data. Denali Exchange Data Feed And use a separate installation of Sierra Chart just for charting US stocks: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time And soon we will have the full consolidated tape data feed available. John, Thanks for your suggestions. I tried updating but no luck. I've noticed the log also includes the following: Message from IB: Warning: Your API version does not support fractional share size rules. Please upgrade to a minimum version 163. Trimmed value 1.76 to 1. IB Error Code: 2176. Does the above message provide any helpful info? PS. I am currently considering Denali Data feed. But I would still like to be able to use IB data as a back up. |

We have become aware of this about a week ago. And it requires Sierra Chart to add support for the latest TWS API which will take some time. It is not a simple thing to do.
